v1.1 upgrade!

Dicier has been upgraded from v1.0 to v1.1! Since I wanted to get this out soon after getting a Glyphs 3 license, most of the new stuff is made of assets I already had. However, that's not to say there's nothing big in here. Before installing the new version, uninstall the old fonts—there are instructions at the start of Chapter 2 now.

The biggest, simplest change...

Dicier v1.1 works automatically! You no longer have to activate discretionary ligatures—just install the font, type a code, and it'll transform straight away. If, for whatever reason, you want to use Dicier's guide-letters, then you can switch off standard ligatures (not discretionary) to stop the codes from working.

New icons!

  • generic die, domino, and coin icons.
  • d6 results codes, a different way of making d6s with Arabic numerals.
  • new double-wildcard dominoes.
  • diceless pips.
  • some uncommon historical card suits: Stars, Bullets, and Crosses.
  • backgammon doubling cube.
  • cv10-12: poker dice.
  • cv13: triangular 3-pip dice.
  • cv14: blank-zero numeral domino and dice ('0' or 'N' numerals changed to blank faces/sides)
  • cv15: larger 1-pip on Asian dice.

New Mode: Block!

Dicier Block is a blocky, octagonal Mode with all three Weights and all the same features as Round and Flat.

New translation: French!

Specifically, European French, if there are any differences with other forms.

Plus some other changes:

  • all guide-letters now have simple kerning with each other (in v1.0 only the letters used in actual icons were kerned).
  • Heavy outline strokes have been adjusted.
  • Heavy and Dark weight joker stroke widths have been adjusted.
  • Chinese domino designs have been adjusted.
  • the License section in the User Guide now has a cliff notes version
  • some other minor changes have been made in the User Guide.
